Objectives ::

Giving to the mother who gives birth to the first child as compensation from the government for the purpose of not working and resting during the maternity and postpartum period.

Pregnant women and midwives receive as much cash as they need to get the comfort they need, resulting in physical development for themselves and their baby.

Target Beneficiaries ::

All women except those employed by the Central Government, State Government or public sector entities or receiving assistance as per the existing norms will be covered under this scheme during pregnancy as well as for six months after childbirth.

The gestation period will be calculated according to the date of menstruation indicated in the medical certificate of the beneficiary woman.

In case of fetal miscarriage or stillbirth-

The benefit of this scheme can be availed only once.

Women who have had a miscarriage or have yet to give birth will be able to take advantage of this plan during their next pregnancy.

If the beneficiary receives the first installment of financial assistance and the fetus falls behind, the second installment will be deducted during the second pregnancy and the remaining installment will be paid. Similarly, the remaining installment will be deducted from the amount received.

If the beneficiary of the scheme has received all the installments of assistance before delivery, then if one is born, the assistance will not be received during the second pregnancy, but after the birth of the child, pregnant women will be entitled to assistance.

Anganwadi worker, Anganwadi Sahayak or Asha worker sisters, if they are eligible to be beneficiaries in all other ways, they will be able to avail the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Matruvandana Yojana.

Benefits of the scheme ::

Registration of women under the scheme:

Women who are eligible for the benefit of the scheme are required to register at a hospital, government hospital or anganwadi center where the scheme is being implemented in the state or union territory.

At the time of registration, the woman and her husband have obtained Form-1A, showing all the details, along with the necessary supporting evidence, they have to give consent in writing by giving the woman and her husband's Aadhaar number. , Mobile number, bank or post office fee account number. .

The beneficiary of the scheme will have to get the acceptance number or receipt from the place where he has given the form after registration which will show the amount of various installments of the scheme.
