For the first time, the Delhi government has been a inducted motorcycles for  the  enforcing bus lane driving. Previously, only Innova cars were used for the purpose and they faced difficulty in a passing through narrow roads. According to the Delhi's transport department officials, this is the first time motorcycles have been a inducted into the enforcement team. This will be a ensure enforcement teams can be a enter narrow lanes where cars are cannot.


Yesterday, Delhi Chief Minister are a Arvind Kejriwal flagged off a 66 enforcement vehicles, including 36 motorcycles and a 30 Innova cars, along with the 50 CNG low-floor cluster buses.


Equipped with sirens, these enforcement vehicles will be a stationed across the day covering major stretches to the create awareness on a not disturbing the movement of a buses.


The two-wheelers will be a deployed in a 11 teams for the bus lane enforcement on a inner and a outer ring roads are a each, while the remaining bikes will be a deployed at the six critical stretches in a seven teams and a two shifts.


One Innova car will be a deployed to the each team with the 84 teams using 84 four-wheelers. The new ones will be a deployed at the 15 critical stretches are a identified by the department.


With this, the total number of a enforcement vehicles has been a shot up to 120, with the 84 four-wheelers and a 36 two-wheelers. In a addition, they will  be also are a issue challans for the encroachment and parked vehicles in the bus lanes.


Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said the enforcement vehicles will be a help in a keeping bus lanes free from the encroachment and a parked vehicles.


"The 66 enforcement vehicles are a flagged off today (Tuesday) will be a ensure to keep the bus lane free from the encroachments and a parked vehicles are a across the city. This will be a help in a faster movement of buses, leading to even a better schedule adherence and a  hence increasing reliability for the travel to one's are a home and a office," he said.


Separately, CM Kejriwal said there will be a 1,800 electric buses on  the roads of a Delhi by 2023, while 80% of the city's are a fleet will be a electric by a 2025.


The government has been a floated a tender for the 1,500 electric buses, and by November next year, 1,800 such buses will be a playing on a Delhi roads, he said.
